In Limbo is a photographic project that aims to question the construction of gender in our society through intersexuality. It arises from the need to fill the informational and visual void in the research of the concept itself. The intention of this project is to invite us all to consider the matter on what gender means for each of us, to question it, and to learn to accept physical and sexual wealth and differences through stories of various intersex people. Independently of the differences, distinctions and any specialty humans should have the right to be happy and free. Is it necessary to be “normalized” and categorized to feel as if we belong in our society? Is there a direct link between gender identity and body?
